New default theme !

Hi!

Recently, we realized that the default theme in VirtualSociety lacked a bit of versatility.
While it was very popular with a portion of the community, it didn't necessarily suit everyone.

To fix this, Nico worked on a brand-new default interface, and we are very proud to introduce: Joy!

The challenge: making it new while keeping our identity

The main goal was to keep the original spirit of Paper, but to evolve it towards a more standardized design, capable of adapting to the habits of all players.

To breathe more life into the interface, Nico notably chose to integrate touches of color, making the overall experience much more pleasant, warm, and visually appealing. A massive amount of work was also done on the overall ergonomics.

While the handwritten style of Paper had its charm, its custom font could sometimes be hard to decipher. With Joy, we opted for a much more readable typography. The interface has been completely rethought from the ground up: the buttons are now bigger, the different tabs are much cleaner, and the whole thing gains significantly in clarity.

A theme for everyone

Joy was designed to offer a simple, clean, and pleasant experience for everyone.
This is the new visual identity you will see everywhere, including in our upcoming videos.

Paper fans, rest assured! Your favorite theme isn't disappearing. It remains fully accessible in your settings; it just steps aside when you first launch the game.
