Research

Our primary mission is to promote positive and compassionate social interactions while allowing our players to be creative and learn while having fun. We firmly believe that video games are a wonderful tool for mental health, education, and creativity.

However, helping players establish social relationships, improve interactions, and learn within games is by no means easy.

As part of our research activities, we strive to adapt actions and means of communication to motivate individuals to act and interact in order to promote collective well-being. We also seek to create innovative experiences that assist people with various disorders or conditions, offering them solutions to improve their quality of life. One of our priorities is to represent diversity in a respectful manner, taking into account the sensitivities and difficulties unique to each individual, thus fostering self-acceptance and acceptance of others.

Innovation to promote social connections and diversity

Our flagship project consists of developing an ethical metaverse that places humans and interactions at the core of its functioning. We consider inclusivity as the central pillar of our project, as we aspire for every individual to feel represented and fulfilled within our virtual world. This means we are committed to offering everyone the opportunity to freely express their sexual orientation, skin color, and disability, whether visible or invisible, without fear of judgment or discrimination.

Education and health

We firmly believe that video games represent an exceptional tool for promoting health and education. Indeed, their interactive and immersive nature gives them a unique potential to reach individuals who often avoid the healthcare system due to fear of stigma. Video games can thus contribute to creating new models of preventive care and support for various mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, mood disorders, and many more.

We emphasize hidden learning, an effective pedagogical method that integrates seamlessly into the context of video games. This approach gains even greater power in virtual or augmented reality environments (VR/AR) as it allows knowledge to be conveyed through multiple sensory channels, making the learning experience more immersive and memorable.

Regarding understanding disabilities, we aim to develop simulations specifically designed for healthcare professionals and families. These simulations provide a unique opportunity to better understand the challenges and realities faced by patients or their family members on a daily basis. Through this deep understanding, we strive to improve care relationships and strengthen the support provided by families, thus creating a more inclusive and compassionate environment for all.
