Switch to Unreal Engine

VirtualSociety was a personal project developed in our spare time for a decade. JuDePom joined the team about two years ago, and VirtualSociety Online became a 3D game. This experience allowed us to get your feedback on the game. Many of you liked the ungendered characters, the multi-players life simulation, and the many customization options.

However, many of you asked us for a mobile and virtual reality headset version of the game, and the handling was not always up to our expectations. On our side, we wanted more advanced graphics, which was complicated by the constraints of a web game. VirtualSociety Online was designed to run on a simple browser, with an extremely lightweight for this type of game (only 16MB!). We then realized that to make a cross-platform game, and without all the weight and performance limitations we had experienced; we had to move on to something else.

Our next game, VirtualSociety, is therefore developed with Unreal Engine. We hope this time, thanks to your support, to develop this game full time soon, and not only in our free time, so that we can make a game as polished as we want. Moreover, making a game without the constraints of the web will allow us to propose handling and graphics at the height of what we dreamed.

The new VirtualSociety will be completely redesigned and will not be totally based on the gameplay and world you have known with VirtualSociety online. We have tons of ideas that we can't wait to share with you!
