Hello team! On Friday, October 4th and Saturday, October 5th, we were at the Fête de la Science at the Paris' Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie to showcase our games: VirtualSociety and Running Guys. The event was a fantastic opportunity to share our passion for game development and research to the general public, big and small.

We kicked off the event with great enthusiasm, presenting VirtualSociety and Running Guys alongside our colleagues from Inria. On Friday, the school audience was particularly receptive, eager to discover how science and video games intersect. Clélie passionately spoke about game creation and its connection to science, while Jimmy shared his experience with Running Guys, a game initially developed in just two weeks with the now-discontinued Blender Game Engine.

On the second day, we continued welcoming visitors, this time for the general public day. It was a day filled with discussions with experts and enthusiasts, but most importantly, with young passionate individuals.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the involvement of the entire Inria Nancy team—Justine Galet, Véronique Poirel, and Bruno Levy—and of course, a special thanks to Alice Decarpigny for her impeccable organization. We also want to thank all the families, children, and visitors who came to share these moments with us, as well as those who crossed oceans to be there—you know who you are!

These two days at the Fête de la Science 2024 were rich in meetings, discoveries, and learning experiences. They strengthen our commitment to continue developing VirtualSociety, an inclusive space where creativity and community are at the heart of the experience.

Thank you for your support, and see you soon!
